Meals and the cellar
Maria cooks traditional Maramureș food, from the bread to the cakes. Meals are made on request for groups of at least 6 people: ask when you book, or 2-3 days before you arrive.

What's on the table
Breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a starter, a main course, dessert and a glass of blueberry liqueur. The menu changes from day to day, depending on what Maria cooks.

“Everything is made in the house, from the bread to the cakes, different every day and plenty of it.”
“There were plenty of drinks too, all homemade and very good. I never thought I'd taste plum brandy made just like my grandmother's again.”
The cellar
Under the hill, entered from the garden, is the vaulted brick cellar: shelves of wine, fruit and jars put up for winter. At Christmas the entrance is dressed in garlands and fairy lights.

If you'd like to cook
There's no cooking inside the guesthouse. For a coffee or to warm something up there's the guest kitchen, with an espresso machine and a microwave. To cook your own food, use the gazebo in the garden, with a cooker, hob, grill and brick oven.
